Obama, Romney Prepare for Visits to NE Ohio

CLEVELAND — Both presidential candidates are getting ready for campaign events in the Buckeye State.

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney will be speaking at manufacturing plant American Spring Wire Corporation in Bedford Heights on Wednesday. Special guest, Mike Rowe, of the television show, ‘Dirty Jobs,’ will also be joining Romney. The event starts at 12:15 pm. Doors open at 10:15 a.m.

The visit comes as part of a three-day “Romney Plan for a Stronger Middle Class” bus tour across the state. His tour kicked off on Monday in Lima when Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan spoke at the Veterans Memorial Civic & Convention Center.

Ryan will appear in Cincinnati today. Both Romney and Ryan will then appear in Dayton together.

President Barack Obama is also stopping in Northeast Ohio for campaign events this week. 

Mr. Obama’s campaign office tells Fox 8 News that the president will travel to Bowling Green and Kent University for campaign events on Wednesday.

He’ll speak at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center (MAC Center) at Kent State University.

Tickets to the event are no longer available. The doors open at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
